Yoga/Qigong Classes

Qi gong (pronounced “chee-gung”) is a collection of basic tai chi-style movements, massages, and energetic practices that improves the circulation and balance of the body’s vitality or “life force energy”.

When practiced regularly with conscious breathing and mindful awareness, qigong stimulates the body’s inherent healing energy and fosters its healthful flow throughout the body. In addition to health maintenance, qigong is especially valued for its regenerative qualities supporting individuals with minor or serious illnesses, injuries, energy blocks whether deficiencies or excesses, and emotional/spiritual disbalances. The basic individual movements are relatively easy to learn and to practice, providing the additional value of discernible benefits with a modest investment of time.

Conscious Dance

Conscious Dance incorporates the principles of Ecstatic Dance, Mindfulness, Deep Shamanic Trance, and The 5 Rhythms which is based on the idea that everything is energy and moves in waves, patterns or rhythms.
- Physically practice the art of being fluid in our bodies. Become flexible, surrendered and trust our feet to lead us where we are meant to go.
- Physically practice the power of masculine energy. It is the gateway to the heart, the part of us that shows up as truth and clarity.
- Physically practice the art of fully releasing our bodies - we let go of the head, spine, hips and feet and move faster than we can think.
Break free of our illusions and throws us headfirst into the beat. It takes us on the journey from “I can’t” to “I will”.
- Practice the art of the physical, energetic, emotional and spiritual dancing rebirth. surrender into the depths of the fluid, creative the deepest parts of ourselves, to the integrity and dignity that we often forget is within us.
- Moving in slow motion as we dance into stillness practicing the art of making humble and mindful endings. This carries through to all of our endings in life—the end of this dance, this day, this relationship, or this life cycle. Good endings mean taking responsibility for the whole journey, distilling wisdom from our experience so that we may begin the next wave or cycle clean and not carrying the past with us
Dance journeys will be offered periodically as my schedule allows.

YOGA MONDAYS AT OPEN DOOR CHURCH

I teach these classes every other monday.
These classes are offered by the Open Door Church every monday evening at 7:30pm. The classes are suitable for all levels and held in a spacious and dimmly lit room that is very comfortable. 
This is
a drop in class that is supported by donations from the participants.
